Access to SBLC: Purchase and Lease with IFCI
At IFCI, we assist clients in obtaining or leasing Standby Letters of Credit (SBLC) for transactions, financing, or project security. Our solutions include:
SBLC Purchase: issued for purchase, backed by assets such as precious stones, jewelry, or other financial instruments.
SBLC Lease: issued for a fixed term, without transferring ownership of the underlying asset.
How it works:
1. Document submission:
o Letter of Intent (LOI) outlining your needs.
o CIS/KYC information to comply with banking regulations.
o Proof of funds: bank statements, certificates, screenshots, etc.
2. Evaluation and structuring:
o IFCI verifies client eligibility and the quality of assets offered as collateral.
o Depending on the instrument type (Purchase or Lease), we structure the SBLC with our financial partners or banks.
3. SBLC Purchase backed by assets:
o The SBLC is secured by the underlying assets (precious stones, jewelry…).
o Redemption / Expiration: if the SBLC is not used by the expiration date, it is automatically canceled, and the secured assets are returned to the owner.
o If the SBLC is drawn, the bank may use or call the underlying assets according to the agreed terms.
4. SBLC Lease:
o Leased for a specific period.
o Assets remain the client’s property, and the SBLC serves as a temporary guarantee for the transaction or financing.
Key points and risks:
SBLCs are bank guarantees, not immediate cash loans.
Issuance depends on bank / provider approval and compliance of documents and assets.
SBLCs may involve issuance and structuring fees.
Past performance or eligibility does not guarantee reimbursement or profit.
